Averages with their coverage

Every figure on this page is calculated from recorded days. Missing days are counted and shown, not hidden and not filled in. The total is labelled as the total of recorded days, so a month with ten logged days is never presented as a full month.

Goals you set

There is no recommended target here. Pick a number for each weekday or none at all, mark rest days, or build a gradual series of schedules if that suits you. The streak rule is spelled out: rest days are skipped, and a missing or below-goal day ends the run.

Questions

Why does my average ignore days I did not log?

Counting an unlogged day as zero would make your average lower than what you really walked. The average uses recorded days only, and the coverage figure next to it tells you how many days that is.

Can I have different goals on different days?

Yes. Set a target for each weekday, mark rest days, and start a new schedule from any date. Earlier days keep the goal that applied at the time.

Can I turn streaks off?

Yes, with one checkbox. You can also switch to neutral wording, which removes praise and encouragement and keeps plain facts.

Does a higher average mean I am fitter?

Not necessarily. Comparisons show coverage and source differences because a new device or more logged days can change the numbers on their own. StepTracker does not interpret counts as health outcomes.
