Your step data
Everything you enter or import (step counts, sessions, notes, goals, calibrations, optional body mass, and any import files you choose to keep) is stored in your browser’s IndexedDB on your device. It is not sent to StepTracker or anyone else. We cannot see, recover or delete it for you.
Motion sensor
The experimental counter reads motion events only after you start it, only while the page is open, and processes them on the page. Raw readings are not stored or transmitted.
Location
StepTracker does not request your location.
Hosting and logs
The site is a set of static files. Like any web host, the hosting provider may log basic request data (IP address, page requested, time) for security and operations. These logs contain no step data.
Advertising
Advertising is off. If it is ever enabled, it will be limited to content areas, disclosed here before launch, and will never receive your step data.
